The Sportsman XP 1000 built for riders who spend their time in the deep mud, not just crossing it. It starts from the standard Sportsman XP 1000 and adds a full set of changes developed with High Lifter Products, the specialists in turning ATVs into purpose-built mud machines. What separates it from the rest of the Sportsman range is the combination of a mud-specific transmission with lower gear ratios, sized to handle the 30-inch Outlaw II tires without giving up too much performance, a rack-mounted radiator with inverted dual fans to shield it from debris and manage heat while pushing through thick muck, and a factory-installed 3,500 lb HD winch and center-mounted mud bar, standard on the XP 1000 High Lifter Edition only.
